SHKP named Caring Company for sixth year running

A successful company excels in business and takes care of the community. Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) believes in 'building homes with heart' and supports numerous charities to help the community. SHKP and a number of its subsidiaries were recently named Caring Companies in recognition of their social commitment.

The Caring Company scheme is intended to encourage businesses to show social responsibility and help build a caring society. The organizers this year introduced a '5-Year Plus' designation to recognize companies that have had good track records for more than five consecutive years and satisfied the six attributes: volunteering, employee friendly, employing vulnerable, caring for the environment, mentoring and giving to charity. SHKP did well in all the six criteria and being awarded the 5-Year Plus honour.

SHKP and many of its subsidiaries have the 2007 / 08 Caring Company designation acknowledging their social commitment.
